Interface Insight is developing an innovative 'whole-systems-thinking'  approach for Interface Control and Change Management activities in large and complex infrastructure projects, for reasons introduced here.

 

   Many commercially available software packages already service the general needs of Project Management, Document Management and Enterprise Content Management.  The aim is not to compete with, or in any way to try to displace, those systems - because they do different things.  Instead, the aim is to sit separately from them: to be used alongside, in conjunction with them.  

 

   Projects will use whichever Project Management System, Document Management System or Enterprise Content Management Systems they choose (or are required to use).  Interface Insight's interactive online platform will provide supplementary functionality, with a strong technical focus on how different parts of a project's design(s) are specifically inter-related, regardless of how general project documentation is managed.  It will enable Project Teams - for example - to investigate technical ripple-effects of potential Change Requests at the earliest possible opportunity, i.e. without having to turn away from any overarching Project Management or Document Management Systems that they are already familiar with using.
