Understanding these multi-layered inter-relationships enables informed management decisions to be made in a timely manner, and 'with both eyes open'.​
'Interfaces being where projects go wrong' is an unfortunately common occurrence, experienced in many large and complex projects across many different sectors. Big problems often remain latent for a long time: hiding in the gaps that do not receive sufficient attention, sufficiently early.
But project interfaces do not need to be like this.
