Q: "Why do bad things happen to good projects?"

A: "Interfaces, interfaces, interfaces...
it's where projects always go wrong."

Interface Insight exists to help major infrastructure project teams to make more informed design decisions, more quickly and more reliably, when it matters most, by bringing a proactive mentality and a 'whole-systems-thinking' approach to

Interface Control and Change Management.

We systematically map out projects' interface details - seeking to uncover the hidden ones before they cause problems - modelling 'ripple effects' across the overall system. Understanding these multi-layered inter-relationships enables informed management decisions to be made in a timely manner, and 'with both eyes open'.

'Interfaces being where projects go wrong'  is an unfortunately common occurrence,  experienced in many large and complex projects across many different sectors.  Big problems often remain latent for a long time: hiding in the gaps that do not receive sufficient attention, sufficiently early.

But project interfaces do not need to be like this.

We help to

get every hidden

Interface

In

Sight

because interfaces

that aren't visible,

won't be managed.

Doing this proactively helps to avoid foreseeable challenges - the sorts of problems that otherwise tend to jump out later, at the worst possible moment, delaying schedules and blowing budgets by disrupting projects' critical path activities.

By focussing on this, we are helping to accelerate our societal transition to net-zero: reducing the time, cost and risk profiles for the delivery of our major transition-related infrastructure projects.

Time is not on our side: we need to be much more deliberate in what we do to identify, organise and manage our project interfaces.  The Climate and Biodiversity Crises will not wait for us to realise how important this is.
